On 5 March 2022, the Ecological Environment Department of Jiangsu Province issued the document ‘Notice on the Announcement of the Provincial 2022 First Batch of Compulsory Cleaner Production Audit Key Enterprises List’ (Su Huanban [2022] No. 56), according to which Asia Pacific Light Alloy (Nantong) Technology Co., Ltd. was included in the 2022 First Batch of Compulsory Cleaner Production Audit Key Enterprises List in Jiangsu Province. The enterprise carried out the first round of cleaner production audit of the company in March 2022, and made the cleaner production audit as one of the key work of the enterprise in 2022 year.

After receiving the notice of cleaner production audit, the decision-making level of the enterprise decided to make full use of the opportunity of the provincial environmental protection department's requirement to carry out cleaner production audit, turn pressure into motivation, and make this round of cleaner production audit work as one of the annual work priorities of the enterprise, and carry out and push forward the cleaner production audit seriously with a view to improving the level of environmental protection and cleaner production of the enterprise. In order to guarantee the technical level of the cleaner production audit work, the enterprise commissioned Nanjing Bohuan Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. to provide technical consulting for the enterprise's cleaner production audit work in March 2022, and formally launched the cleaner production audit work.

At the early stage of the audit, extensive publicity was carried out in the whole company by means of symposiums, staff meetings, posters and bulletin boards, etc., which made the enterprise leadership and all staff have a clearer understanding of the cleaner production audit work, and on this basis, a cleaner production audit team was set up with the leadership and technical backbone of the company as its members and was specifically in charge of the whole company's audit, which provided favourable organisational This provides a favourable organisational guarantee for the smooth implementation of clean production.

All the staff of the company start to look for opportunities and potentials of clean production from eight aspects, such as raw and auxiliary materials and energy, technology, equipment, process control, waste generation and disposal, products, management and employees. In the process of carrying out cleaner production audit, members of the cleaner production audit team, with the guidance and assistance of relevant audit experts and the active participation and cooperation of all employees, start from the core of cleaner production audit - analysing the process flow and material balance, identifying the parts of waste generation, analysing the causes of waste generation, and proposing specific measures to reduce or eliminate the generation of waste. We have proposed specific programmes to reduce or eliminate waste generation. In accordance with the principle of implementing and achieving results while auditing, the audit team follows the seven steps of ‘planning and organisation - pre-assessment - assessment - programme generation and screening - feasibility analysis - programme implementation - continuous clean production’. The audit team carried out the clean production audit in the whole company in an orderly manner, following the seven steps and 35 procedures of ‘planning and organisation - pre-assessment - assessment - programme generation and screening - feasibility analysis - programme implementation - sustainable clean production’.
